Employment and HR

Nussbaum Gleason represents employers at every stage of the employment cycle: interview and selection guidance, handbook and policy implementation, employee relations issues, terminations, and employment claims defense.

Employment laws are constantly changing. It’s critical that organizations have a strong relationship with employment counsel so they stay abreast of these changes and maintain compliance, while upholding a strong internal culture that supports their people and mission.

We work with employers as they create and implement their HR architecture, and we review policies and handbooks periodically to ensure they reflect the latest legal and HR guidance.

We work with religious employers to craft job descriptions, handbooks, policies and agreements that are sensitive to the unique calling of the organization and its employees. We also advise religious organizations on maximizing their legal protections and exemptions for their faith-based employment practices.
We represent employers in administrative proceedings before the EEOC and the Colorado Civil Rights Division, and defend them in lawsuits brought by current or former employees.
