In Espinoza v. Montana Department of Revenue, the U.S. Supreme Court will decide whether Montana violated the First Amendment by excluding religious schools from participation in a public scholarship program. On September 18, 2019, Nussbaum Speir filed an amicus brief in the case on behalf of ACE Scholarships, a Colorado-based nonprofit that raises money from generous donors and awards financial scholarships to students from low-income families to attend the school of their choice.
